Women to Women, at Mt. Sinai Hospital, is a group of nine professional, specially trained volunteers who have survived gynecologic cancer and are now working with other gynecologic cancer patients. They provide support for patients, talking about the physical and psychological side effects of the illness as well as treatment options, coping mechanisms and advocacy training. We are supporting this wonderful group of volunteers by collecting toiletries for “comfort bags”. Suggested items for donation include hand creams, lip gloss, pens (generic) ginger tea (the type that comes individually wrapped) ginger lozenges, small memo pads, etc.
Please remember, that the Food Bank of New Jersey is currently running low on donations. Children are home from school and economic conditions are precarious. More and more families rely on food donations. All donations may be dropped off at the Center Office.
If you have a 6th-12th grader that would like to help, please contact Toby Feldman at (201) 796-0353 or (201) 410-3880, or via email at tobybeth@optonline.net.
